[1024^(1/10)]^2
"A power to a power" means multiply the two powers.
So [1024^(1/10)]^2 = 1024^(2/10), or 1024^(1/5), which means the fifth root of 1024.
It is not usually easy to find a fifth root of a number, unless the number factorises as easily as 1024.
1024 = (2 x 2) x (2 x 2) x (2 x 2) x (2 x 2) x (2 x 2) = (2 x 2)^5
Hence 1024 = (2 x 2)^5, and 1024^(1/5) = 2 x 2 = 4
1024=2^10, so 1024^(1/10) = (2^10)^(1/10) = 2^1 = 2.
So square 2 and get 4.
This simply is asking for the 10th root of 1024 which would be 2. Then you would do 2^2 which would be 4!
2^2=4
4
[1024^(1/10)]^2
follow the order of operations ( ) first, [ ] last, multiplication and division first then addition and subtraction.
first is 1/10 = 0.1
then, 1024^0.1 = 2
then 2^2 = 4
