Yes I do need a certain level of understanding as to why I believe in what I believe. But there are a few things I choose to have blind faith in, because there just are no answers or reasons sometimes and you just have to trust your intuition or faith.
Koala, this is not a dumb question. There is some quantity of truth in everything. However, in this statement, I believe the truth is misconstrued. Things don't happen for a reason, but there is a reason for everything happening. If that sounds confusing let me explain. Everything that has ever happened happened because something caused it to. There is no future predestined purpose, the reason for it happening is its cause. Life is what you make it. And I have a saying that may help you. "Reality is not as important as one's perception of reality." People believe what they want so that their life makes sense. Your friend may have been trying to make you feel better, or she may really believe that, because believing that has worked for her/him. There's a better saying that I like..."In the end, everything is OK, if it's not OK, it's not the end." I'm a firm believer that life is fair. Many people don't believe that, but I do. The thing you gotta do is recognize when things are going well for you, and know that that will be offset by the times when things aren't going well. You will never be higher than you are low, and you will never be lower than when you are high. I've talked with several people who were depressed and that helped them. I told them sometimes you get the rough times first sometimes the good times first. If you're going through a rough time, just work through it and give life a chance to make it up to you. Be strong, Koala. No matter what it is that's not working out, somehow it'll be alright in its own time. Hang in there. Hope this helped.
As a sensible, clever human being with an IQ of 144, I'd say it is of paramount importance to have a reason.
As a 15 year old boy that listens to Guns N' Roses and Nirvana and likes nothing more than having a good time, I'd say you should just do it if you want to.
I guess that we ought to just have fun, after all, what's the point in living a boring life?
So I'm going to say it's just better to go with your instinct.
I have reasons to believe everything.
Yes. I don't believe things without a reasonable explanation. I don't believe in pure faith. I believe in reasonable faith. If that makes sense... I think a better way to describe it is, I trust someone 100% as long they haven't given wrong advice yet.
Some things you just know and believe without doubt ... others you need a reason to believe it is there
Eh, I like to believe a little of both. Some accomplishments can be rewarded by a reason that you made it happen. Some others are still something beyond explaining xD that's my two cents.
no I don't think you need a reason for everything you believe, it can sometimes be a feelings
No I don't need a reason for what I believe, I may be curious, but I also don't need scientific proff of what I believe either.( I trust my instincts)
Yes we cant believe without reason ....but one thing i believe (in ghost) without reason.
